Description

Founded by I-Feel Tower, Lazer Labia, Fort Orgy, A Little Dirty, Spank The Plank & Bug Juice. The inaugural running of the Mad Cows took place on Long Beach on May 6th, 2012. This hash is a celebration of the Full Moon & the vast, unspoiled acreage of Long Island. That is, until we get there.

We usually hash on the Saturday nearest the Full Moon. The exact date & time are posted here, as well as on our Facebook Group and on Meetup. There is usually a pArTY tRaIN leaving Penn Station for these events. Join us!

LIL #137 Start: Keegan Ales, 20 St. James Place, Kingston, NY 12401 (Keegan Ales makes their own beer and also serves food.) Transit: 9:15am Trailways bus from Penn Station arrives into Kingston at 11:25am (Keegan Ales is a 15-minute walk from the bus station); 9:31am Metro North from Grand Central arrives in Poughkeepsie at 11:39am (~35 min car ride to Kingston); 10:20am Amtrak from Penn Station arrives in Rhinecliff at 12pm (~20 minute car ride to Kingston). Crash Space Details Here NOTE: The hare has limited crash space for a few people (you MUST reach out in advance about it). From the hare: “If anyone is coming up from the city they can also come up Friday evening and stay at my place. I can potentially pick up from Metro North or Amtrak depending on the time. I have a guest room with a queen bed and jacuzzi tub. I also have a couch and queen inflatable mattress. Then if it’s not too chilly I have a tent that in theory fits two but is better for one. I have space in my room for one. And then there’s floor space for two.” If people want to hang around there’s a Masquerade Ball at Keegan Ales at 7pm, hosted by their running club. Saturday October 19 5:00 pm 2024	Amityville Horror Hash LIL #136 Start: Parking lot of Amityville LIRR station (near Ketcham and Railroad Aves.) Transit: The 3:45pm pArTy TrAiN from Penn Station arrives in Amityville at 4:48pm. The 3:44pm train from Atlantic Terminal connects with the pArTy TrAiN at Jamaica. There will be pre-lube beer at the start, plus a drink check on this A to B trail	Cheeky Bastard
Saturday September 28 2:00 pm 2024	Gabe the Babe’s Wacky Long Island Adventure LIL #135 Start: James Joyce 49 S Ocean Ave, Patchogue, NY Transit: From Grand Central: 11:39am far Rockaway train transfer at Jamaica for Montauk line train at 12:14pm. Arrive at Patchogue at 1:30pm.   From Penn: 11:45am Babylon line transfer at Jamaica for Montauk line train at 12:14pm. Arrive at Patchogue at 1:30pm. Alternate Penn: 12:23pm Babylon line transfer at Babylon at 1:33pm for Montauk line train. Arrive at Patchogue at 2:03. NOTE: this option is risky as the first train is scheduled to arrive at Babylon at 1:30pm so if there is any delay you will miss your transfer at 1:33pm.  I recommend doing the earlier train if possible.   From Atlantic: 11:44am Jamaica line train to Jamaica, scheduled to arrive at 12:05pm.
