We gathered on yet another frigid winter day. Many of us were thinking it’s time to invest in some Arctic-like hash gear when Fire in the Piehole shows up in shorts and a T-shirt. Somebody should tell that guy it’s cold outside.
And we were off! Anything to get warm…
The trail took us through Marcus Garvey Park where we encountered a really scary looking drug dealer type wearing a fuzzy pink bathrobe over his clothes. I guess he was cold too.
Then we were pleasantly surprised when the trail made a right turn into the hare’s apartment and there were fresh cookies and beer!
From there it wasn’t far to the Ding Dong Lounge where we convened the circle and gave out Down-Downs:

Lesley got the Mr. Magoo award for saying "Where do you see that?" after running past marks.
Steve got one for trying to give credit to the eagle-eye that found one of the marks by saying "The old man found it".
Dogface & Steve got one for bitching too much about the pink chalk and the cold.
Jumping Jack Gash got one for wearing a r*ace medal on trail.
Lesley got one for snowshoeing to the start.
Hot Rod got one for r*nning the Charleston Marathon.
The Hares were awarded A$$hole of the Week for starting us at Central Park but not going into it and having the On-In at the Ding Dong Lounge.
One thing the Ding Dong Lounge has going for it is the beer selection. It was so good that many of us didn’t even notice that there wasn’t a single TV to watch the game on. Someone must have noticed though since the hares had to drink for their choice of the On-In location.
Eventually the temptation to do something really mind-numbing like watching TV (as opposed to the intellectually stimulating activity of hashing) got the better of us and we left.
