Well, after a 26.2 mile r*n the day before for a few hashers, the post-marathon hash was promised to be short.  In the spirit of the 2.62 mile eagle trail and 0.62 mile chicken, I will attempt to compose a 262-word writeup (wish me luck!).

The trail was short but hilly, through northerly stretches of Central Park, including its highest point, even more north (and up) along Morningside Park, finally turning back south again and then over to the Hudson for more ups and downs before ending at Broadway Dive.  The on-in was crowded with marathoners who skipped even the 0.62 mile trail, which went straight from the start to on-in.  Despite the Brooklyn hash being in Manhattan, The Saint kept up to the Better Beer Hash name, and everyone imbibed happily.

Down-downs went accordingly:

-The Hare

-Visitors (2 from Aarhus, Denmark, 1 from Austin, TX, and Other White Meat and former-Brooklynite Just Rebecca from San Francisco)

– Virgins (just 1)

– The doughty Marathoners (Eager 4 Beaver, Lauren, Marie Wickham, FMIG, Rebecca, C*ntcake, Jeremy, Fireman Tim, and the 2 Danes.  If I forgot someone, I humbly apologize)

-DBB on behalf of the Queens borough

-A naming: formerly Just Sean shall forever be known in the hash as “Canine Fixation”.  Apparently for some antics with a dog on trail…

Despite the mere $15 hashcash, the very good-quality beer was plentiful (lasting until well after 10), not to mention the tasty pizza.  Brooklyn rocks!  Oh, and there was lip-synching to Journey on the jukebox.  And here’s a sentence to get to 262!

On-out.

(ed: Unless you count "On-Out," I believe Blackout’s one short. I will reserve comment on that one.)
